The crew of voyager had just sent Seven of nine's dead body out into space for ever.

"Kathryn what happened?"

"Her regeneration alcove sent her erotic images that she could not process. In short her implants over loaded and killed her."

"So why?"

"I cannot have anyone else playing in my playground, with my toys."

So with that she lean into him and starts to kiss her first officer,
